The
first look at Robocop is impressive as the super hero comes back to
existence as remake of iconic 80s movie gets underway. Actor Joel
Kinnaman, better known for his work on The Killing, was spotted wearing
the updated RoboCop suit on set as well as Abbie Cornish wearing a
futuristic all black outfit, including body hugging tights and
futuristic leather jacket.
Michael
Keaton is set to play the role of Raymond Sellars, CEO of the
corporation that builds RoboCop in the MGM/Columbia Pictures’ RoboCop
remake of the 1987 movie.
Keaton
joins previously announced Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, Samuel L Jackson
and Abbie Cornish in the Jose Padilha-directed film.
And fans get their first look at the action hero as the iconic hero come back to life as the remake begins filming in Toronto.
Recently,
a draft of the screenplay by Josh Zetumer and Nick Schenk was leaked
onto the Internet, which revealed that there were numerous versions of
RoboCop as OmniCorp refined their design. The re-imagining of the 1987
Paul Verhoeven cult classic will be released on August 9, next year. The
wait will be worth.
