From actresses entering Kollywood films, to actresses
moving on to make their mark in other industries, the South has seen it all! Parvathy
Omanakuttan was crowned Miss India World in 2008 and later became the
first runner-up at the Miss World Asia & Oceania at the Miss
World 2008 competition.
Omanakuttan was born in Kottayam, Kerala and the
small town girl eventually represented India in the 58th Miss World Final.
She won the second place for the Miss World Top Model contest on
December 3, 2008.
She participated in the Femina Miss India 2008 and
won the titles of Miss Photogenic, Miss Personality and Miss
Beautiful Hair.
She made her cinematic debut through a Malayalam film titled
‘Madan Kolli’ by director Ravi. Even though her
first film was never completed, in 2010 she appeared in ‘Uma
Maheshwaram’, which also bombed at the box-office. Her third film
was a biggie as she coveted the part opposite, Ajith Kumar and its ‘Billa
II’.
In 2012 she signed a new South Indian movie and the movie is
going to be directed by a tamil film director.
FRIDAYMOVIEZ wishes the talented actress, a fabulous
career ahead and good luck with her upcoming releases. Will Kollywood
see her shine in films like she dazzled on the ramp or will she be one of those
name who came and withered away but couldn’t make a mark? Well! We'll
just have to wait and watch!
