Kya poster hain???

Posters play an important, in fact the most important part in the promotion of a film. They are the first point of attraction to the audience. And it needs a lot of creativity to design an attractive poster. Several of our Hindi movies have indeed created good posters earlier.
But today if we notice, we have many posters which are inspired, or rather copied, from Hollywood. We have several examples like Anjaana Anjaani which resembles the poster of An Education, Ra.One which resembles Batman Begins, Mausam and Titanic, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobaara and Lords of Dogtown etc. Hard to believe?
Here are they...

From book to movie…

A book turning into a movie is not a new thought for us. We almost always criticize the film not being up to the good work of the book. But most of the time we fail to understand that motion pictures has its own limitations.

A book, when we read, gives us the liberty to use our own imagination to create pictures. Each and every detail in the book helps in creating them. For example, when Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone was released, the imaginary world of wizards and witchcraft amazed the readers, and with the description in the book they built their own Hogwarts. When the movie was released, the audience was happy that most of their imagination was recreated into celluloid.

But as the sequels were released, the same audience felt a little let down. There are several other examples like The Da Vinci Code, Twilight, Hello (One Night at the Call Center) to name a few.

When we watch a movie that is adapted from a book, we forget about the part of the audience who must not have read the book. If they understand the story, then the makers have succeeded in their attempt.

Films also help to use our imagination by reading the untold expressions from a character’s face. Though the images are already created and displayed, we do have the freedom to decipher the expressions and think on our own.

Indian Cinema and Animation

Indian cinema and animation are two aspects that mostly do not go hand in hand. The lack in research and the impatience of people working on it are really black marks in this particular genre which is beautiful and treat. Though we have done commendable efforts for movies like Hanuman, Roadside Romeo and the recent Arjun, there is still a lack of efficiency that we normally expect from an animation movie.
The main disadvantage about animation movies in India is that people tend to compare with the ones made in Hollywood. And Hollywood animations break the barrier between the real and the unreal world. This may be because of the years of research on each character and facts and year span they take on each movie.
Perfection is something that we have to learn from them.

Karan Johar celebrated his 40th birthday.

Karan Johar recently celebrated his 40th birthday and surprisingly more than half of Bollywood was present (http://fridaymoviez.com/bollywood/event-image-gallery/karan-johar-s-40th-birthday-bash/10554/ ). Should we consider that Karan is actually a lubricating agent between most of the Bollywood celebrities who cannot even stand with each other?

There were people like Bipasha Basu and Kareena Kapoor who are known for their tussle since Ajnabee. In the guest list there were Amitabh, Abhishek, Farah and Shirish who are apparently not in good terms with Shah Rukh Khan right now.

Karan's camaraderie is indeed a commendable one, because maintaining a healthy relationship in the industry is the biggest achievement when compared to a blockbuster release.

What exactly is the first look? Do all know?

Today it has become a trend to release the first look of a big release which claims to create a wave before the release of its music or trailer. But what exactly is the first look? Do all know?
First look of the movie simply means the movie poster. It is unveiled first to arouse the curiosity in the audience mind. The first look gives an idea on how the feel of the movie is and also about the appearance of the characters. And interestingly the first look actually creates the wave in most of the cases.
Look at the examples like Rowdy Rathore. (http://fridaymoviez.com/image-gallery-photo.php?id=150953) The painted poster of the movie which was released first was a topic of discussion among the movie buffs. The first look of Teri Meri Kahaani also created curiosity among the people as Priyanka and Shahid are to come together after Kaminey. The first look of Talaash was so appealing that the fans of Aamir Khan are just waiting for its final release. The latest is the first look of Bol Bachchan (http://fridaymoviez.com/image-gallery-photo.php?id=173026). The goggled Ajay at the centre with the two Abhisheks on each side. The poster indeed is an appealing one.
Revealing the first look of the movie always builds up a lot of expectations that sometimes lives up to it and sometimes fails to impress. We have examples like Mausam, Agent Vinod etc which were blown out of proportion and finally burst into thin air.
But at the same time we do have movies that indeed delivered what they had promised; like Ishaqzaade, Agneepath etc.
Let us wait and see if the upcoming movies live up to what they have shown or if they have a great fall in the eyes of the viewers.

There were better options other than vidya for a graceful dance

A lot was expected when it out in the media that Vidya Balan is
performing laavni in Ferrari Ki Sawaari.

But expect the unexpected. People who have great regards for Vidya;
warn you. Coz you are shot with an unseen Vidya.

When we have dancers like Madhuri in the industry, you might wonder,
'why vidya?'

With no personal grudges against anyone, there is just one point to
make. There were better options other than vidya for a graceful dance
like Laavni.

"In the month of April the movie buffs saw the release of two movies, Vicky Donor and Tezz

"In the month of April the movie buffs saw the release of two movies, Vicky Donor and Tezz, but unfortunately the lucky coin was in the hands of Vicky Donor.

Tezz, despite of having an ‘able bodied crew’ with people like Priyadarshan, Anil Kapoor, Ajay Devgan and Boman Irani, failed to impress the audience and grabbed a lot of negative attention. But simultaneously Vicky Donor, which just has new comers including John Abraham (a new comer producer), became critically and commercially successful.

Well, it seems like it is no longer the day when people can be fooled by just a few heart-pounding sequences by big shots of the film industry. It is proved again that small budget movies dealt with a great script can take over big budget ones with a weak script. "
